Core Subjects

Cathedral Christian School strives for excellence in education; therefore, we use A Beka curriculum for all core subjects. In addition we have incorporated Bob Jones Reading for grades 2-6.

Electives

Bible 
As a Christian school, Christ is at the center of what we do first and foremost. This principle is why every student attends a Bible class every day.  In addition, a chapel service with special guest speakers is held once a week

      
Computer 
As technology becomes a part of everyday life, we believe students must be knowledgeable and able to use current technology efficiently and responsibly.  For that reason, each student in grades 1 - 8 attends a computer class where they learn to use word processing, spread sheets, and how to perform Power Point presentations and many other software applications.  In addition to this, middle school students are taught how to research assignments on the Internet.

PE (Physical Education) 
In addition to a sound mind and spirit, we want our students to be physically healthy as well.  All students grades k5 - 8 attend a Physical Education class each day, where they learn and exercise in a fun atmosphere. Kindergarten classes have recess daily.

Tae Bo & Aerobics:  On Mondays and Fridays grades 4 - 8 participate in Tae Bo and Aerobics.

Library
All students will have many opportunities to use the school library.  We believe that “Readers make Leaders,” so we make sure to have lots of interesting, fun and educational books for the “Leaders” here at CCS.

Athletics

The center of our athletic program is Basketball and Cheerleading.  All ages are encouraged to participate in either program.  Pastor Jerry Lenton heads up our athletic program.  If you would be interested in more information, please contact the school office .
